Concert Tour: November 2008

Ann Arbor-Reina Sofia, Madrid-Palacio Foz, Lisbon

November 2008, Xiaofeng Wu has been exclusively commissioned to a concert tour in Europe in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of Fundacion Guerrero. Mr. Wu kicks off this concert tour by his Ann Arbor recital presented by Gift of Arts-University of Michigan Hospital.

Interpreting ten leading European composers, his World Premiere concert at Reina Sofía National Art Center has received standing ovations from Madrid's enthusiastic audience. Upon invitation by Mr. Wu and Fundacion Guerrero, China Embassy Madrid all officials, led by Ambassador Qiu Xiaoqi, attended the concert and had a affectionate meeting with Mr. Wu. Ambassador Qiu praised Xiaofeng Wu for his contribution in culture exchange and China’s musical art development.

Right after his Madrid World Premiere concert, Xiaofeng was invited by Jeunesses Musicales Portugal to give a solo concert at Palacio Foz, Lisbon. Standing ovations was received again for Mr. Wu’s spectacular performance.
